Other "Types" Women Can't Resist

An article in Men's Health Magazine states that "Bad Boy, the Quiet One, the Mountain Man, and the Witty One" are four types of men that women can't say "no" to.

At first glance, let me just say: Yes, please.

These are four quintessential types that we, as young women, often hear about in books, movies, tv, etc. Each is a recipe for a romantic comedy where, for example, the Bad Boy overcomes his dangerous past upon meeting a sweet, yet quiet girl. Or how the Quiet One becomes the talk of the town and becomes a successful Hollywood agent. I could go on....

Excuse me while I prefer choosing a man who is composed of all FOUR.

When it comes to these topics, I often wonder about the little things men do that I find very desirable.

An active body. There's nothing more interesting to watch than a body in action, whether in sports, music, performing arts (preferably). A man who only moves to get on and off a couch is NOT considered active, by the way. Basketball and soccer players are my weaknesses. There is something about the way a basketball guy walks, somewhat with a "fake" limp, especially when he uses his "pivot" foot to turn 180 or 360. Soccer players have nice calves.

Intelligent. Forgive me for saying this but I LOVE book-nerds (I'm a Literature & History major!). When guys wear glasses while studying, and they bite on a pen or pencil just so, as if the answers can be found there.

Reserved. The late Teddy Roosevelt once said, "Speak quietly but carry a big stick" to describe his foreign policy. It definitely applies to people. Men who are reserved in stressful situation, but is capable of enacting steps to alleviate the stress are a gem. I'm not a big fan of flashiness or excessive Alpha Male displays. Honestly. Simple is better.

Like Dad. Believe it or not, women pay serious attention to this category. I've spoken to a couple of sisters and they mentioned that a good relationship with your dad will influence your attitude towards men. Since your dad was the first man in your life, so to speak, he will forever be that beacon of great things. Someone who is reserved, thoughtful, patient, forgiving, and unselfish--that's my dad. A guy who holds these characteristics would be a catch.

Still, with all of these characteristics, you must always have physical attraction. That's another article.
